Christopher Davis-Shannon Somewhere between Sufjan Stevens, and Death Cab for Cutie lies Abe Deshotel. A masterfully produced, and written debut record! Give this a listen, and brighten your day a bit. Favorite track: Be.

chantelle_uke What a brilliant first album! The songs are catchy, beautifully written and feature stunning melodies. The use of a stomp throughout several of the tracks adds a fun and steady pulse to the more upbeat songs, while the slower songs feature beautiful melodies on ukulele and piano. Favorite track: Be.

Find 02:02
I was walkin down a highway Just to find myself Always searching never finding Just the story of my life Just the story of my life Met a man he said he found the reason Found the reason why The reason why we're alive It's love So many problems no solutions You'd think you're going insane So much sufferin so much lackin I think I know what we need I think I know what we need It's love If you try you'll find The story of your life
2.
Be 02:57
In your arms, I feel free It’s where I am, Supposed to be Every time, That I’m there It’s like I’ve got, Not a single care My mind Is clear When I Am here you give me peace, you give me calm and sometimes you’re my Tiger balm Wish I could, You know I would Live up to all of your good My soul Is free When you’re With me I want To be To you as you are you me
3.
Fix It 02:38
I wake up in the morning and I ask myself What's my hair doing What's my hair doing There's so many things I gotta do today But what's my hair doing What's my hair doing Gotta fix it up Gotta fix it down Cause you know when Im ready I ain't playin around When you wake up in the morning do you ask yourself What's my hair doing What's my hair doing Cause I wake up in the morning and I ask myself What's my world doing What's our world doing Gotta fix it up Gotta fix it now If you wanna keep it nice stop playing around Fix it up Fix it up I wake up every morning and I ask myself What's my hair doing What's my hair doing Cause I wake up every morning and I’m lookin around What all y’all doin What all y’all doin
4.
Loosen Up 02:47
Loosen up a little and take your time There's no rush so take your time Acting like your backs against the wall Doesn't matter it's in the past they say The sun will shine another day Loosen up a little and take your time There's no rush so take your time Take a deep breath it'll be alright I'm here with you whatever you need As long as you want with you I'll be So you got to pick yourself up dust yourself off Try again So you got to pick yourself up dust yourself off You got this Now I know it’s not that simple just to say It’ll all be ok I just want you to know how much I care and if you want I’ll get out of your hair
5.
Without You 04:38
I like to sit in the snow while it’s falling And catch every single flake I can I just wanna stay here forever I love walking with you in the morning The sunlight just lights up your face I just wanna stay here forever I love walking with you in the rain All I can hear is your laughter And speckles of rain all around us I want to end every day with your smile Laying beneath the great starlight And breathing in deeply your sweetness I don’t wanna live without you I can’t seem to think without you I don’t know what’s next in my life but I know for sure I don’t wanna live it without you I don’t wanna live without you I can’t seem to breathe without you I don’t know what’s next in my life but I know for sure I don’t wanna live it without you
6.
Change 03:37
You say that you care but you're lying Cause I know you're not even trying Is this how you want your life to go Cause if you want bigger things, it sure don't show What do you want You're only here once The world gives only one chance Don't waste your soul You are what you eat and you are what you do So all of this sitting around is becoming you

about

This is my first studio album, funded on Indiegogo by my family and friends. I'm forever grateful for the love and support I received to start this huge journey of being a professional musician.

It was recorded in Boston at Plaid Dog Recording over a little less than a year. It's only 6 songs, but it took a lot to get here.

I want to make music that truly speaks to people and uplifts their minds and souls, and this album represents a huge start in that.

"I will be what I will be" is one possible translation of Exodus 3:14. For me it is the promise of a new beginning to myself and those I love.
